A dental implant is a titanium rod which serves to function as an artificial root for your tooth.
The implant is surgically placed into the jawbone and integrates with the surrounding bone material. This integration process can take anywhere from 3 to 6 months after which it is restored with an artificial crown. Implants can be used to provide support for bridges, crowns or dentures.
Replace your missing teeth with dental implants
If you do not have any of your natural teeth left then you could benefit from having dentures. Dentures provide structure to your smile and prevent the surrounding facial muscles from sagging.
In addition to dental implants, dentures can also be used to replace single missing teeth.
